Speech Sounds For Kids! (Australian Edition) by Multimedia Speech Pathology $19.99

I love this app because it has an Australian speaking voice and you can select multiple sounds for children to practice contrasting different sounds.

It also has in-built teaching tools to support your child to learn tricky sounds by hearing ‘sound stories’ and instructions on where to put their tongue and lips when making certain sounds.

Phonological Processes by Virtual Speech Center Inc. $26.99

For some children, contrasting an error word with the target word can work really well.. and this app does just that!

The minimal pair approach teaches children the function of sounds, emphasizing that changing sounds changes the meaning of a word.

These apps are comprehensive and with the guidance of a speech pathologist, you can select appropriate words for your child to practice when they have a motor speech disorder such as apraxia.

This free app is a great way to practice sounds in different positions of words (at the beginning, middle and end).
